Port Scarburgh is located on Virginia’s Eastern Shore, a 70-mile long peninsula separating the Chesapeake Bay from the Atlantic Ocean. The area is renowned for its spectacular fishing, clamming and water sports, and offers fertile farmland, undisturbed beaches and diverse wildlife.
Port Scarburgh is just 35 miles south of the Maryland/Virginia state line. The community is a convenient drive from several major cities; it’s just three hours from Baltimore, three and a half hours from Philadelphia and Washington D.C. and five hours from New York City.
To Reach Port Scarburgh:
From the North:
- Take 13 south from the Maryland/Virginia state line. Go 25 miles.
- Turn right onto Route 179 West. Go 1.5 miles.
- Turn left onto Route 718. Go approximately 1 mile.
- Turn right onto Tarkill Road (Route 717).
- Bear left onto Crockett Town Road. Port Scarburgh is the second driveway on the left.
- From Virginia Beach, Virginia take 13 North across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.
- Stay on 13 North and go 45 miles on the Eastern Shore.
- Turn left onto Route 179 West. Go 1.5 miles.
- Turn left onto Route 718. Go approximately 1 mile.
- Turn right onto Tarkill Road (Route 717).
- Bear left onto Crockett Town Road. Port Scarburgh is the second driveway on the left.
